Welcome to the A-Team Jiu-Jitsu family. Here at A-Team your family is our family. Although we are known world-wide for our competition team our focus is on maintaining a family oriented atmosphere where all students can enjoy while learning and practicing Jiu-Jitsu. Master Ali, Coach CJ, and General Manager Angelo want you and your family to have such a positive and life changing experience with us that you will be part of A-Team for a very long time.
Here are some tips for getting started and improving your Jiu-Jitsu game and that of your team mates:
1. Wear a Clean Fresh GI Top and Bottom to each class
2. The gym is a quiet zone, please keep guests/children quiet so students can concentrate and focus
3. Parents must stay with children until class starts (parents can leave once class begins)
4. Beginner GI’s and Higher Model GI’s are available for sale at A-Team Jiu-Jitsu
5. Don’t forget your belt. Sounds simple but it happens
6. You may wear a rash guard or T-Shirt underneath the GI (For Girls: Tank Tops, Sports Bra are OK too)
7. For Training Days that are No-GI we request you wear your GI Bottom and a Rash Guard or T-Shirt
8. Remember to stay well hydrated. Bring water or you can buy water for $1.00
9. No food or beverages in gym except for sealable water containers
10. No clothing or personal items are to be left overnight at the gym
11. Keep your nails clipped
12. Keep your teeth clean (fresh breath)
13. Although we clean the mat twice a day please maintain proper hygiene (shower)
14. Wash your GI soon after each use
15. No Glitter on nails or Body Glitter
16. No hair paint or markers on the hands
17. No bare feet inside or outside the gym or in the bathroom
18. No Shoes, Slippers, or Dirty Feet on the mat
19. No Pets inside the gym
20. After class please be quiet when exiting so the next class can hear the instructors
21. No Chewing Gum on the mat
22. When standing in line during class please do not lean on the wall or put your hands/feet on the wall
23. No shouting or yelling in class
24. Practice good sportsmanship
25. Please no coaching from the sidelines
